Bodhisattva Lokeshwara's Standing Chenrezig Statue, Artwork
Bodhisattva Lokeshwara's Standing Chenrezig is a unique form. In this statue artwork, Buddha stands gracefully with a lotus blossom in his left hand and a Varadamudra motion in his right. He is adorned with a five-jewel crown and bodhisattva earrings, bracelets, armlets, anklets, floating shawls, and scarves. These are his enlightened experiences represented in this way.
In the Sutras, Chenrezig is a prominent archetypal Bodhisattva who seeks perfect enlightenment. Chenrezig is claimed to be a Buddha who gained full enlightenment during a former eon, only to incarnate as a Bodhisattva on the spiritual path to inspire and benefit people in our present eon, according to Vajrayana Buddhism teachings.
Lokeshwor means "Lord who looks down on the entire realm" in Sanskrit. Similarly, Lokeshwor is also recognized as Padmapani ("The Lotus Holder") in Sanskrit. He is a Bodhisattva who symbolizes all of the Buddhas' compassion. Lokeshwor is depicted, mentioned, and portrayed as either a God or Goddess in Buddhist deities in various cultures and countries.
