Shakyamuni Buddha Hand Mudra Practice Statue
We used traditional sculpting techniques to make the Shakyamuni Buddha Hand Mudra Practice Statue in our workshop. The figure was created using a mold made of copper, and the final touches were applied with 24-karat gold. Acrylic paint is used to enhance the deity's facial characteristics. He is seen sitting on a moon disc lotus with his left hand holding an alms bowl over his lap and his right hand doing the earth-touching mudra, or bhumisparsha mudra. His expression is tranquil. His magnificent Kasaya robes have intricate stitching. For several months, we labored nonstop, day and night, to complete this piece of art. The gold has been further polished and gilded, giving the statue a stunning lustrous finish.

Siddhartha Gautama was born the crown prince of the powerful Shakya Kingdom and was raised to be a monarch by his royal father's wishes. He heard about people's enormous anguish when he was approximately 29. He gave up his palace life and all of his opulent robes and wealth to figure out what was causing the pain and how to relieve it. He reached his goal after nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and intense focus. He'd reached nirvana (a Buddha). He then claimed to have gone to a deer park in Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).
