Buddhism Art Of Shakyamuni Buddha Made in Buddhas Birthplace
This artwork shows a sculpture of Shakyamuni Buddha sitting on a moon disc lotus seat hand-made in Nepal, Buddhas Birthplace. Expertly painted acrylic paints highlight The Buddha's serene face. The body of this magnificent Buddha statue is made of pure copper and later given a little worn look to make our statue look even more antique. It took more than a month to complete, with the help of numerous artisans from the Kathmandu Valley whose skills had been handed down through the generations. The robe and lotus seat have been painstakingly sculpted and decorated in Himalayan art with uniquely designed patterns true to Nepal. At last, the alms blow that lord buddha is carrying on his right arm is made of silver, making the whole statue even more attractive and valuable.

Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and nurtured to be a king in line with his royal father's aspirations. However, when he was around 29 years old, he learned about people's tremendous pain in life. He abandoned his palace life and gave up his magnificent robes and gold to uncover the reasons for this anguish and the methods to alleviate it. After nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and severe concentration, he achieved his aim. He had attained enlightenment (a Buddha). He claimed to have then proceeded to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India, on the outskirts of Varanasi.
