Sculpture of Chenresig Buddha "Lord Who Gazes Upon The World"
Chenresig Buddha, also known as Avalokiteshvara, is the most honored Bodhisattva. He represents all Buddhas' compassion and responds to all sentient beings' requests in times of stress and trouble.
Sculpted on a copper body, the statue is fully gilded in 24k gold. Chenrezig Buddha, "One who looks with unwavering eye," is seated in a lotus seat with a calm expression. He has four arms, and he holds a wish-fulfilling jewel with his front arms. His upper left hand holds a white lotus, depicting how he helps people escape bad situations. In contrast, his upper right-hand holds the endless cycle of akasha mala, which symbolizes the never-ending cycle of life, death, and rebirth.
