Traditionally Hand-Carved Sculpture of Crown Shakyamuni Buddha
Our talented artists created this beautiful and rare depiction of Crown Shakyamuni Buddha Sculpture in our studio. We have been sculpting Buddhist sacred deities for generations. We have used a copper body to carve the statue and gilded it with 24k gold. We have also used rich red acrylic paint all over the figures. The Buddha is seated in the Bhumisparsa or 'Calling the Earth to Witness' mudrā with fingers slightly touching the ground. This position represents the subduing of Mara (a demon), who bombarded Buddha with demons, monsters, and violent storms. The left hand is in the meditation (dhyana) mudra gesture holding a bowl with a calm and peaceful face.
This beautiful and rare Shakyamuni Buddha can be a great gift for your meditation shrine.

Shakyamuni Buddha is also known as the enlightened one who is the founder of Buddhism and its teachings. The ancient Sanskrit word 'Buddha' means 'having become awoken ' in the sense of having attained 'supreme awareness.' It is closely related to 'Bodhi,' which refers to awareness. His main goal was to free people from their sufferings.
