This Female Bodhisattva of Compassion, Green Tara's statue, is a piece produced in our studio with the generational native skillset and is a testament to Himalayan Buddhist artistry. The statue's body is copper with intricate carvings done over the course of months, which was then gilded with gold. The Bodhisattva is depicted gracefully seated atop a moon disc flower with a smiling appearance. The use of acrylic paints further highlights her peaceful expression as two Utpalas (blue lotuses), one semi-bloomed and one fully-bloomed, stand beside each of her shoulders. Her head piece, robe, and body adornments are filled with detailed carvings.
