The Buddha's calm and tranquil countenance, his elongated ear lobes, and their hand movements are all deftly sculpted to reflect the descriptions in the Sadhana texts. The glittering enchantment of the classic gold plating method is brilliantly displayed in this collection of statuary. Our individual handcrafted gold sculptures exemplify the greatest artistry of the Kathmandu Valley and are one of Nepal's well-preserved traditions. Vairocana appears to be in the middle of the statue. The wisdom of Vairochana is the essence of dharma meditation. Akshobhya Buddha is usually framed in the east, Ratnasambhava Buddha facing south, Amitabha Buddha in the west, and Amogasiddhi Buddha in the north.
