Traditionally Hand Crafted Machig Labdron Statue for Meditation and Yoga
We, Vajrayana artists from Kathmandu Valley, have masterfully hand-carved the Machig Labdron statue in the traditional Himalayan style. Crafted from a copper body and gilded with 24k genuine gold, which highlights the intricate design patterns of the statue. The Buddhist yogini can be seen standing atop a moon disc lotus seat in a tree position as a fiery nimbus surrounds her. She is depicted with a third eye in the center of her forehead, representing spiritual insight and awakened awareness. She holds a ritual bell and a drum on her right and left hand, representing female and male aspects of wisdom, respectively.
Truly a perfect addition to your Buddhist shrine or can be used as a meditative accompaniment for yourself or for any devotee.

Machig was a self-styled beggar woman and was a distinctive individual for being the Tibetan Woman and the progenitor of a particular tradition. Her life is an inspiring story of a committed practitioner, at-times beggar woman, brilliant teacher, mother, and lineage founder. This tradition spread back into the Buddhist motherland of India. It was a cause for great national pride in Tibet. And she left a tremendous legacy of her teachings.
