Traditional Tibetan Machig Labdron Chod Practice Statue
The Machig Labdron sculpture was meticulously hand-carved in our studio by Nepalese master carvers. We carved the figurine using copper, then plated it in genuine 24-karat gold. The acrylic paint has been used to draw attention to the design and emphasize the essential features of the deity. She is standing on a lotus seat in the position of a dancer while holding a golden drum and a bell near her hip with her left hand. She is embellished with exquisite decorations and halo flames that have been masterfully created. The crown, body ornaments, drum, and lotus seat are adorned with precious gemstones. It took us months and months of hard work and devotion to complete the statue.
The Machig Labdron Chod Statue will be a perfect addition to your meditation shrine and gift to a practitioner like you from Nepal.

Machig Labdron was a Tibetan Buddhist master of the Chod lineage during the eleventh and twelfth centuries. Tibetans revere her as a manifestation of Yeshe Tsogyal. Her life is an inspiring story of a committed practitioner, at-times beggar woman, brilliant teacher, mother, and lineage founder. This tradition spread back into the Buddhist motherland of India. It was a cause for great national pride in Tibet. And she left a tremendous legacy of her teachings.
