Beautifully Handcarved Maitri Vajrayogini Dakini Statue
Exquisitely hand-carved statue by expert artisans with complete iconographic detail according to traditional scriptural sources, gold-plated copper statue of Tantric Buddha Vajrayogini in Maitri form. The statue consists of triple-Layered Gold, 3D Embossed Carving with Deep Multi-Layered Engraving.
Vajrayogini is the queen of Dakinis, the female Tantric deities or “sky dancers.” The Statue is in her dancing, leaping, and soaring poses, proclaiming that she is fully alive and joyously free. She is the supreme teacher of the Anuttarayoga Tantra, the Yoga practice that allows those plagued by solid desires and attachment to attain enlightenment. She is depicted as a beautiful young girl with three eyes and the traditional aspects of a Dakini, including a “drink” (a vajra-handled knife) in her right hand and a kapala (skull) filled with blood in her left hand.
