Hand Crafted Seated Buddha Shakyamuni Sculpture
The Seated Buddha Siddhartha Sculpture was hand-carved in our studio using traditional Himalayan techniques. This statue was crafted using a copper body and then gilded with 24k genuine gold, which signifies the importance of the deity. His right hand is lightly touching the ground beneath him, while his left hand is holding an alms bowl while seated on a finely hand-carved lotus seat. Our painters worked extremely hard for months to create the unique patterns and features of this statue. This figure can be used in a variety of Buddhist rituals and meditation exercises, and it will be the perfect gift for a practitioner like you.

Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and nurtured to be a king in line with his royal father's aspirations. However, when he was around 29 years old, he learned about people's tremendous pain in life. He abandoned his palace life and gave up his magnificent robes and gold to uncover the reasons for this anguish and the methods to alleviate it. After nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and severe concentration, he achieved his aim. He had attained enlightenment (a Buddha). He claimed to have then proceeded to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India, on the outskirts of Varanasi.
