Shakyamuni Buddha is shown magnificently in this Buddhist statue. Shakyamuni is gold-colored, with blue-black hair in little tufts and a prominent crown protuberance ornamented with a gold adornment, as is the regular appearance of a buddha. In the earth witness mudra, the right hand is extended across the knee with the fingertips touching the ground (gesture). The left hand is placed on the lap in the mudra of meditation. He sits in a vajra stance on a lotus seat and aureola enclosed by an ornate gold studded with corals, wearing monk robes.
