Finely Handcrafted Tibetan Shakyamuni Buddha Sculpture
We, Vajrayana artists from Kathmandu Valley, have masterfully hand-carved the Tibetan Shakyamuni Buddha statue in the traditional Himalayan style. The statue is made of oxidized copper, giving it the elegance of antiquity. Shakyamuni Buddha can be seen in the statue sitting on a moon disc lotus, with his left hand holding an alms bowl and his usual expression of serenity and peace. With his right hand, he makes the "Bhumisparsa Mudra," which symbolizes one of the most significant events in the Buddha's life—namely, the moment the Buddha attained enlightenment and claimed the earth as his witness for it.
This piece is an excellent souvenir for any devotee like yourself and can be used in your daily practices and activities of meditation and yoga.

Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and nurtured to be a king in line with his royal father's aspirations. However, when he was around 29 years old, he learned about people's tremendous pain. He abandoned his palace life and gave up his magnificent robes and gold to uncover the reasons for this anguish and the methods to alleviate it. After nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and severe concentration, he achieved his aim. He had attained enlightenment (a Buddha). He claimed to have then proceeded to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India, on the outskirts of Varanasi.
